Work with us to create something amazing in 2022!

Future Makers

Are you aged 11-14 and local to S7?

Do you want to build your creative skills, meet new people, and have fun?

We are running FREE weekly workshops from January 2022 onwards!

See what we’ve been making with the young people from Sharrow Community Forum’s Detached Youth Project!

FREE creative workshops for 11-14 year olds local to the S7 area

Every Sunday 1-3pm

Starting on 23rd January 2022 and running until July

At Common Ground Community Centre

Machon Bank

Nether Edge

S7 1GR

Fun and creative workshops where you will…

  • Get to know a group of young people from your area
  • Have chance to try out different art forms and develop your creative skills
  • Explore your own interests and ideas to help us shape what we do
  • Work with a professional theatre company to create something amazing - a performance, a pod-cast, a film? It will be up to you!

How do I get involved?

From February half term onwards, we will be looking for a committed group of young people to work with us over the next six months

Come along to one of our sessions and try it out!

Simply fill in the sign up form so we have your details then we’ll be in touch to confirm your place

Once you’ve been to a session we will have a chat about how you found it and if you’d like to keep coming along on a weekly basis

This opportunity is aimed at 11-14 year olds who live or go to school in S7 (and the nearby areas - Sharrow, Highfield, Nether Edge, Carterknowle)

We are especially keen to hear from young people who are not already accessing arts activities in or outside of education

If this isn’t you, you can still apply but if we are oversubscribed places will be allocated to young people from the prioritised groups

Future Makers welcomes everyone! We aim to make the workshops as accessible and inclusive as possible. You don’t need any experience to apply and we’re a LGBTQIA+ friendly organisation
