The Future of Future Makers!

Future Makers has now finished for the summer. We’re delighted that the project will continue in Autumn 2023 as an independent project, under the custodianship of Sharrow Community Forum.

To get news about how to get involved after Third Angel closes, we recommend signing up to receive SCF’s newsletter here, keeping an eye on their notice board here, and following Highfield Adventure Playground on Instagram.

See what we’ve been making with the young people from Sharrow Community Forum’s Detached Youth Project!

Future Makers 2022-23

Here’s a short film about our Future Makers’ 2023 show, The Island, by Darshan Gajjar and Ai Narapol of Yellow Pocket Films.

This is how the project ran in its final year:

When?

5-6:30pm, every Wednesday during term-time

Where?

Highfield Adventure Playground
Crowther Place,
Sheffield
S7 1BJ

What?

Fun and creative workshops where you will…

  • Get to know a group of young people from your area
  • Try out different art forms and develop your creative skills
  • Explore your own interests and ideas to help us shape what we do
  • Work with a professional theatre company to create something amazing - a performance, a podcast, a film? It will be up to you!

Who?

This opportunity is aimed at 11-14 year-olds who live or go to school in S7 (and the nearby areas - Sharrow, Highfield, Nether Edge, Carterknowle)

We are especially keen to hear from young people who are not already accessing arts activities in or outside of education.

If this isn’t you, you can still apply but if we are oversubscribed places will be allocated to young people from the prioritised groups.

Future Makers welcomes everyone! We aim to make the workshops as accessible and inclusive as possible. You don’t need any experience to apply and we’re an LGBTQIA+ friendly organisation.
