See us through new eyes
Let us open our doors and let you peer into the teenage brain. What’s going on in there? The loves, the passion, the hurt and vulnerability, the public face and the private persona. Come and hang out. You never know, it just might be fun.
Third Angel & Sheffield Theatres present a brand new show that has identity at its heart. Created with a cast of 13-19 year olds from across Sheffield, Inherited Cities gives voice to the next generation as they shape their future, and uncovers just what it is to be a teenager in Sheffield in 2018, intertwining their stories with music.
100% thought up and performed by us - your ‘young people’ – Inherited Cites asks you to see us through new eyes.
Over 60 young people from Birley Academy, High Storrs, Handsworth Grange, Silverdale and Sheffield College have co-created the show in workshops with our Co-Artistic Director Rachael Walton and a team of collaborating artists including; Sally Proctor (Associate Director Slung Low), Stacey Sampson (most recently The Department of Distractions and Partus for Third Angel) and Lucie Dowling (Partus for Third Angel).
The show starts in the Crucible foyer, spends a short time in Tudor Square and settles in the Studio so audiences are asked to come dress appropriately for the weather.
Age guidance: 12+ Contains strong language and drug references
